Motion of fluid flows as well as transport of heat are ubiquitous in many natural and industrial processes. Applications include processing plants for energy sector, harvesting solar energy as a renewable source, hydrogen-based fuel cell technologies, as well as multiphase flow mixing in rotating packed beds for carbon capture purposes. Faculties at UH Mechanical Engineering Technology program are conducting impactful research in the areas of fluid mechanics and thermal systems to meet global demands as well as address underlying challenges faced worldwide.
